Sicilians have their own unique (read: terrifying) way of driving, so, as a foreigner, whenever you get behind the wheel, you take your life in your hands. 

BUT this time was different.  This time our boat wasn’t sitting happily in a marina waiting for us, it was on the hard, in a boatyard, after being repaired.  It had been sitting out of the water for 6 weeks, gathering dust, grime & debris… sitting all closed up in the 35+ degree Montenegrin Summer heat. 

There are 3 images that remain in my head from that wild night in Kotor. The first was looking up the stairs to see the bow of another boat coming over our stern!!!

I always wonder what the backstory is behind the people on each boat we come across. If it’s a big fancy pants boat – who are they and how did they make their money to obtain such a boat?!
